3 things...

I am so glad that this week is over, and that a new week is about to start - it feels like March has been a bit of a hectic month at work and my stress levels have been through the roof, and I know I haven't been looking after myself, putting everyone else infront of me so now I'm taking a bit of time back for me and I wanted to do a post that is more of a ramble, but is already making me feel better.

This week I am aiming to do 3 things that I hope will create some positivity in my life as I have been on a negative streak for a while! So here goes:

1) Admit that it's ok to be struggling and ask for help! This is a real big one for me, I am fiercly proud and independent and I need to learn that it's ok not to be perfect at everything I do. I've been really struggling at work with everything that is involved as a teacher but this week I am stepping back and asking for help to try and lighten my work load a bit.

2) It's ok to look different! Again, working in a school, teachers are supposed to be role models, however I am now getting to a point where I am wanting to dress more like my old self, I hate black trousers and formal shirts, so starting tomorrow, I am cracking out the spring collection, and starting to look like myself again.

3) Stop stepping on the scales every day and start getting to the gym. I seem to live my life by what the scales tell me in the morning, if it is a positive result, then I'm good at school and eat my lunch and have a good day. If it is a bad result then I don't eat and I live off tea! it's ok to have good days and bad days, but not let the scales be the judge of that!

A bit of a moaner post but it is therapeutic after all. Can you do three things that would introduce a bit more positivity? Let me know!

NOTD - Boots No7 Spring Collection

So long time, no blogging - I've had a manic 2 weeks at school, but things are starting to settle down, and I'm re-developing a routine, and tonight is the first night that I have less to do.

This week has seen spring peeking from behind the clouds and everything getting a bit warmer so I decided to dig through my untried pile to find the two colours from the Boots No7 Spring Collection! I know, bit slow on the review of this, but it hasn't been warm enough to justify such spring colours!

The No7 Spring collection really is gorgeous - I really love the packaging on these bottles:

Spice and Sugar
I love the retro feel of these products and I have already reviewed and still love the liquid eye liner!
Sugar is a very purple based pink, not my usual colour choice but I had to try it! Spice is a very bright coral with a strong orange base.

I found Sugar to be quite sheer, but I was able to build it up to create a good finish, however in some light I could still see my nail line!

I decided that it is not quite Spring enough to wear Spice on its own, so I decided to combine the two to create a Sugar based, Spice tipped nail! All topped off with a layer of Seche Vite to seal it in and help it last longer!

I love these colours, and will be wearing them loads during Spring and Summer, and I can't wait for the No7 Summer collection to be released at some point!

What do you think of these colours? How do you find them? Do they last? Any other comments greatly appreciated!

NOTD: Models Own Concrete Mixer

So I've been really bad and not changed my polish all week, I didn't want to take off my Black Swirl! It lasted all week without any mega wear so I'm holding out a lot of hope for this next polish!

This week I will be rocking Models Own Concrete Mixer, a gorgeous green tinged grey, that applies like a dream and and looks great (excuse my cuticles, I haven't finished clean up!)
These photo's are indoors with flash so I will try and take pictures tomorrow of it outside if we get a decent amount of sun!

Bonus picture for tonight, last week, I was very luck to get a baby hamster and would like to introduce baby Button! Expect to see lots of pictures of him!

What do you think of this colour - is it too plain Jane for you or have you used it and spiced it up with other polishes layered?! Let me know!
