Wobble-Less Wednesday - Zaggora Love

Zaggora Love

If there's one thing that encourages me to workout, its new workout clothing. I adore it and really need some more as a lot of my stuff gets used and abused on a daily basis!

One brand that I adore for work out gear is Zaggora. I already own two pairs of Hotpants, a pair of Capris and a HotTop, and I adore all of it - wear at least one bit for each workout I do and have noticed a really big difference in the results.

If you don't know the Science behind Hotpants then in a nutshell, the material that the Hotpants are made of are designed to raise the core bodytemperature which causes you to get hotter and sweatier so the body has to work harder to cool down, thus burning more calories. Coupled with that, they also help in making areas of the skin smoother, getting rid of the dreaded cellulite. Wearing these daily should help to lose up to 2 dress sizes in 2 weeks!

For me, the Zaggora products are an investment as they are quite pricey - but they are worth it!

Next on my list are:
- Zaggora Flares 2.0 - £75
- Zaggora Capri 2.0 - £65
- Zaggora Viva in Blue - £50

I love the range of clothing they also do, so fancy picking up some of the tops as well.

Coupled with this, I also need some new trainers however that's a separate post to come.

Have you tried any of the Zaggora bits and bobs? Did you lose up to 2 dress sizes?

xx

Barry M Textured Nail Effects - Ridley Road Review

<a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2041&awinaffid=142464&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boots.com%2Fen%2FBarry-M-Textured-Nail-Paint_1294938%2F" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Textured-Nail-Paint_1294938/'; return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''; return true;" target="_new">Boots.com</a>

Barry M Textured Nail Effects Ridley Road

Barry M Textured Nail Effects Ridley Road

I appear to have jumped whole heatedly onto the nail polish trend bandwagon at the moment - with lots of different brands bringing out some awesome collections, and another trend for SS'13 is textured nail effects - but I didn't want to shell out for the Nails Inc Leather or Concrete effects so opted for the Barry M.

I picked up Ridley Road which is a gorgeous greeny blue colour in the bottle - very much a pastel colour that's on trend for our spring (if it ever arrives!)

The polish itself I found to be quite a thin polish that was a tad sheer from one coat but two or three builds it up to a thick, opaque colour and you really get the full effect of the texture on your nails. The actual effect is a really strange, sort of a sandy feeling on the nails - not unpleasant but a tad odd. I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it so left it on my nails.

It wore really well on my nails, only got growth wear at the bottom after 5 days. One thing with the wear that I really disliked was that after a couple of days the colour started to get really grubby and show up dirt around the texture - even a shower didn't get rid of this!

It was a bit of a mare to remove but I wouldn't say any harder then a thin glitter.

For £3.99 these are a good way to get on trend nails, and I might pick the other 3 colours up, especially as their on 3 for 2 in Boots

Have you picked up any of the textures nail polishes? How do they compare to the more expensive Nails Inc Range?

Wobble Less Wednesdays - Quest for a Slimmer, Stronger Body

I feel like I always start off these series, say I'm going to work hard and lose weight and then 6 weeks in I stop updating and sort of sit in a corner, working my way through a box of 12 Cream Eggs, hoping no one notices.

Well, not this time. I'm not making any grand claims, nor am I planning on bombarding you with photos of my wobbly body in my bikini at various stages.

Instead, there will be recipes, workout bits & pieces, inspiration and everything else I can think of.  I am setting myself a time frame as it helps me focus but that doesn't mean I will give up after that.

I'm starting from today (Wednesday 20th) as it marks 18 weeks until the summer holidays and gives me a good way of measuring my progress. I've also taken photos for myself as well as measurements which I might post later on.

I'm following Weight Watchers Online, tracking on the app as much as possible. As well as this, I'm also taking various Protein products from The Protein Works which I will review in due course - but I'm loving it already and if you fancy trying it then use my code SM6476 to get yourself a free 250g sample when you spend £10.
As well as the diet, exercise is important so I'm spinning twice a week, Body Jam twice a week and then hoping to throw in a few new bits either at the gym or at home - I need to stop using my kettle bell as a door stop!

I'll be posting loads on Pinterest if you want to follow me there - http://pinterest.com/KnickersnNails

I don't really know what else to write, this is a tad rambling really but neh mind. Let me know what sorts of posts you want to see on here - and if you have any tips of your own fitness blogs please let me know

Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly Nail Polish - Watermelon Review

Another Barry M Hi-Shine Polish - me thinks I'm a tad addicted! This time I've got Watermelon on my nails - I received this one in a gift swap hosted over Xmas, but forgot to post about it!

Watermelon is a gorgeous dsark green, which leans towards the blue toned end of colour.

Like the other colours I've tried, this one is really glossy and was opaque in two coats. It lasted really well on my nails with a base coat (Nail Envy).

For £3.99, this is a really great range of colours that are bang on trend, I adore them so much!

I've also tried Prickly Pear and Blackberry and have picked up another one - but what other colours do I need (I hear Blood Orange is a must!)

Barry M Blackberry High Shine Gelly - Review

The weather has turned cold again, so I'm back craving dark colour nail polish so on Sunday I grabbed another of my Barry M Gelly High Shine nail polish - this time in the gorgeous Blackberry.

A gorgeous red toned purple, this is super flattering on my pale skin tone and I think I will wear this throughout the summer as well.

As with all the other Gelly's this is really high shine, opaque in 2 coats and looks amazing on the nail.

My love for Barry M polishes continues to grow, and I know I don't need anymore at the moment but the want is still there!

What other colours do I need?

Barry M Hi Shine Gelly - Prickly Pear Review

Nails seem to be a key focus at the moment, with every possible trend appearing on the nails as well.

Barry M seem to be just nailing every trend at the moment, from top coats to textured as well as the high shine, gel look. I have about 5 of the colours from the High Shine range, some Winter colours and some Spring colours, but my favourite so far has been  Prickly Pear

Prickly Pear is a light lilac polish, leaning more blue then purpl. It was full coverage in one coat, but I did two out of habit. I loved that it literally gave my nails the perfect look, like I had smoothed a gel over the top first.

I wore this one for 4 days before I changed it, but in that time there was no chipping, minimal tip wear and it was still shiny!

For £3.99 this is an awesome polish, I have a few ideas for some nail art with it and I want all the colours now!

Have you tried any of the High Shine polishes?  What's your favourite colour? xx

Rimmel Apocalips - Celestial Review

Considering I adore all things beauty, I'm not a massive lip product lover - don't get me wrong, I buy them, apply them once and then forget them for the day!

So I wasn't one of those who rushed out to buy the Rimmel Apocalips when they first came out - too many reds that are wasted on me. However I recently caved when playing with them in Boots, plus they were 3 for 2 so walked away with 3 clutched tightly in my hand.

The first one I've worn has been Celestial. A mauvey pink lip colour, this is my current go to as its easy and warms up my skin tone.

It applies like a lipgloss, giving coverage like a lipstick and leaves a stain on the lips once worn off. I love the concept but it is a bit of a pain to reapply. The gloss wears off within two hours depending on what your doing and I find it clings to any dry bits on my lips. I find I'm too busy to remember to reapply and when I tried without a mirror I ended up looking more Coco the clown then Coco Chanel.

I had read on a blog to apply it with the back of the applicator as the well in the doe foot applies too much product and this trick has helped a lot.

I've got two more colours to try out when I get the chance, but for now this will do. What do you think? Have you tried any of the Apocalips collection?

Mother's Day Gifts with Boots No7

Mother's Day is a week away so I for one need to pull my socks up and sort out some gifts for the mummy's in my life!

One place I love to shop for gifts is Boots - honestly I buy myself lots of presents in Boots as I'm sure many of you do! I was guilty of seeing this offer pop into my inbox and think about keeping it for myself, but I think its one I will pass on to my mum.

Boots No7 are offering you their 'Ultimate Collection' for £23 rather then £30 which in its self is a great offer but you get a fantastic selection of products:

  • No7 Protect and Perfect Day Cream (50ml),
  • No7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream (50ml),
  • No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion (200ml),
  • No7 Beautiful Skin Dry Skin Rescue (50ml),
  • No7 Blissful Body Wash (200ml),
  • No7 Completely Quenched Moisture Lotion (200ml),
  • No7 Lash Adapt Mascara in Black (7ml),
  • Limited Edition Lip Gloss (8ml),
  • Eye Shadow Palette (4.5g).

To buy each of these individually would cost you over £100!!!!

So instore this is £30, but use the code NO7MUM to get it for £23, saving yourself over £80!

If this is something you like, then head over to Boots and pick one up!

What gifts have you bought for you mum? Will you pick one of these up for yourself?! xx
