Review - Soap & Glory Crazy, Sexy Kohl Superblack,Grapevine, Cocoa Bean, Aquabat, Bluemymind Swatch

I know it's a bit late for reviews of gift sets, but I can't resist with this set.

Just after Xmas, a couple of days after the sales had really kicked off, I braved town and headed straight to Boots. I wanted to have a look really and ended up picking up a couple of bits. My favourite bit was this set from Soap & Glory. I love the makeup from S&G, I have done ever since it came out, so to get all of these was great!

Crazy, Sexy Kohl set contains 3 eye shadow colours and 5 kohl liners.

The eye colours: Smokin', Dandy Plum and Aubersheen are really good quality, super pigmented and lasted really well with a primer. I was really please with how easy the colours were to use, the blend easily and give great colour payoff - the only downside is that there is some fall down.

The liners: Super black, Grapevine, Cocoa Bean, Aquabat and Blue my Mind, are 5 fantastic kohl liners. They are super soft and creamy, blend really well and stayed put which is really important for me as no one wants panda eyes. My favourite of the colours is Cocoa Bean as its the perfect brown liner, I could wear this every day.

This set for me has solidified my love for S&G, I can't fault it at all. You can still pick the set up from the Soap & Glory's website as well as being able to pick up Super Black & Cocoa Bean kohl liners from Boots for £5.

I now can't wait to hit up Boots for some more make up bits and pieces.

What do you think about Soap & Glory make up? Any recommendations? xx

Advent Door 7 - Berry Lip Products

Today I have a fantastic guest post from the lovely Nadja, so read on and prepare to want to spend some money on some seriously berry lip colours!

~

Hiya! I am a 23 year old London based Beauty Blogger with a soft spot for shopping, cats and chocolate. These three elements literally rule my life. Oh how my debit card loves me. I give it a lot of love. I run a blog 'Throw me something beautiful' which banters on and on about beauty. So if you’re looking for a new little corner of the internet to hobble around in, you are welcome to mine! Here's hoping I do you guy’s justice with my post today! Let’s get cracking...

It comes to that time of year when the world falls in love with the different shades of berry coating our lips. I love a good jazzed up berry lip. It’s the perfect trend for the colder seasons. Here are a few berry shades that you can pocket for a fair price...

Korres 'Wild Rose' Lip Butter | £6.99 ... Tinting your lips with a delightful pink berry colour, this jazzy number nourishes your lips yet brightens them with a pop of colour. It’s incredibly easy to wear. It’s a fuss free number. No sliding or gliding over your teeth or food. Definitely a winner in my books. One for an on the go sort of girl.

Revlon 'Raspberry Pie' Lip Butter | £7.99 ... This is a range that has won over everyone's hearts, but now I introduce you to a colour you may have overlooked. This Pink bordering on Purple lip butter oozes beauty. Literally oozing. It’s a staple in my lip closet. It’s been there for some time. It’s a tad more pigmented then the others. It holds a little less transparency but it coats your lips with a beautiful dark pink. It’s definitely a lippy you should check out. You will not be disappointed.

Revlon 'Crush' Lip Stain | £7.99 ... Another number from Revlon steals the spotlight. It’s a dark plum sort of colour that looks wonderful on. In stick form it may look a bit boring. It’s not. It’s definitely a wonderful creation. It throws a nice sheer wash of purple over your lips, wonderful for the winter season.

Rimmel '107' Lipstick | £5.49 ... This is a lipstick that I get complimented wearing time and time again. If you’re looking to fish for compliments, this may be the one for you. This is definitely the boldest of the selection. It’s a gorgeous dark purple like red that creates a statement. You will draw attention. It’s just a really lovely deep number for the winter.  This product is definitely a go to of mine.

Which of these are you besotted with? Feel free to pop on over to my little pocket of the internet. I welcome you all!

Thank you Nadja so much for the post, I adore berry lips and have been rocking them for the last couple of weeks. If you want more info about Nadja and her gorgeous blog then check out her links here!

Review - Collection Fast Stroke EyeLiner

Review - Collection Fast Stroke EyeLiner

Review - Collection Fast Stroke EyeLiner

Review - Collection Fast Stroke EyeLiner

I am the worst person ever when it comes to applying eyeliner but I love how it looks, it really does make a difference, however I never thought I would become addicted to wearing liquid liner - it’s all the fault of the Collection Fast Stroke Liner!

I received this from a Glossybox, ignored it and threw it in my stash and forgot. It wasn't until I was at my parents for a party and realised that I had no liner that my mum gave me this - she's not really a liner fan. So I tried it and fell in love.

Collection Fast Stroke is a nice wet liner that is really easy to apply, it glides on thanks to the felt tip like applicator in a thin line that is really black, it can be built up into a thicker liner, plus it stays put all day.

I love the applicator, it’s made applying it a lot easier, I can use the narrow tip to get into the lash line, or use the side to make it a tad thicker. I do tend to go with a narrow line, it just opens up the eye and that's what I need.

I can't find this on the Boots website to say how much this is, but knowing Collection it won’t break the bank.

I'm still learning with liquid liner, but this is a good starter liner - any tips? What do you think of liquid liner? xx

Sunday Make up Shake Up #21

Last week was a tough one, school hasn't been going so great, just when I think I've got the hang of Y6 something comes and pulls me back down. So I'm so glad to leave that week behind and move onto a new week, with some new picks from the makeup collection!

- Soap & Glory Wizard of Flaws Concealer - I can't remember when I got this, but having played with it this weekend I quite like it, not too dry but not too oily, hopefully it can stand up to the heat at work!
- Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation - The stress at work has taken its toll on my skin so I need a bit more coverage, plus this lasts really well.
- Blink and Go eye palette - This was in a Glossy box way back when and it hasn't been given much love as the colours are quite dark, but I fancy playing with them a bit at school.
- Smashbox Hyperlash Mascara - A good little mascara that creates the illusion of fuller, longer lashes on my short stubby ones!
- Collection Fast Stroke - I can't stay away from this, in need of a more dramatic eye this week - a bit like war paint.
- Benefit Bella Bamba - Love the rosy glow this gives, it’s just an all-round lovely blush to use!
- Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Kohl - to balance out the darkness, a nice nude liner to make me look awake, even if I'm not!

Hopefully this week will be a better week.
Which bits have you tried recently? How was your week? xx

Sunday Make-up Shake-up #18

I've been terrible writing these up recently - blogging is something I enjoy but struggle to find time to do at the moment! This is a cheat as its the makeup that i've had for the last week but ive enjoyed wearing it so I'm wearing it again now I'm back at school!

L'Oreal Tue Match Foundation - Mix of the two is perfect for me at the moment! I can't see what shades they are any more, I'll struggle when I have to repurchase.

Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes - I love this set for eyes and brows - the perfect everyday smokey eye.

Collection Fast Stroke Liner - I will admit that I'm rubbish at liner but this is my first foray into liquid liner that is actually a liquid - I like it at the moment, full review to come.

MAC Harmony - Perfect for contouring on a paler complexion, this has been in the stash for a while and will remain for a while I think!

Benefit Rockateur - I love a rosy, 'just been in the cold' glow, but without the actual getting cold part, so this will do to recreate that glow!

Maybelline The Rocket & Rimmel Retro Glam Mascara - Two mascaras that go together, first up a layer or two of Retro Glam and then a layer of The Rocket to seperate the lashes, leaving full lashes.

My picks for this week - I expect some of these will stay around for a while, which bits would you pick out of these? xx
