#BigBlogmasproject Day 13 - Top 5 Winter Lip colours

Half way through, I'm loving having so many posts on the blog! Today we're taking a look at my current 5 favourite Winter lip colours. I've never been much of a lip product wearer but this year
I've got into them in a big way! I struggled to narrow down my choices as I reach for a lot of colours but these 5 are my most used.

First up is Maybelline's Colour Drama in Keep it Classy. I love how this sticks around all day, perfect for shopping or going out for drinks.  Next up is Topshop's Wicked. I've had this for ages but don't often reach for it, A very purple berry colour, this looks awesome but needs re-applying. After that is everyones favourite Kate Moss in 107. This is a repurchase as I wore it so much last year, I love it! A super flattering red berry colour. A new one and one that is slowly becoming a regular we have L'Oreal Colour Riche in Blake's Red - a true blue toned red, I have to be careful with what makeup I wear this with but I like it with glowy skin. Finally is Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Grand Cru, I love this, one that I keep reaching for. All of these last a fair amount of time so are great for people like me who apply once and then forget about them!

I've got plenty of other colours that I'm loving, what colours are you loving at the minute? xx

NOTD - Easy, last minute Halloween Nails

I write this as I'm on the train back to London from my parents. I threw on some nail polish 3 days ago and it was still looking good so thought I would blog it.

I don't get a chance to dress up for Halloween as much as I would like but nails are really quick. This was two coats of Topshop's Smashing Pumpkin and one coat of L'Oreal Confetti Topcoat.

I thought the orange was the perfect pumpkin orange and the black accents just make for a simple nod towards the festival. Normally Smashing pumpkin would have chiped within hours but the topcoat has meant it's lasted for 3 days and it's still looking ok.

Just a short post before I head onto the tube, what are you wearing on your nails for Halloween? Xx

July/August Empties

More empty things to chuck, does anyone else feel like a hoarder storing empty pots?

Oh well, on to the products.

*Soap & Glory Sugar Crush - Love, I was gutted when I finished this, I will repurchase.

*John Frieda Full Repair Conditioner - Another love, but time for a change.

*L'Oreal Micellar Solution - its ok, not something I will pick up again out of choice, back in love with Bioderma.

*Anatomicals Body Scrub - This was in a Glossybox and it was a nice product to use, it smelt nice and was a good scrub, glad to have tried it, I might pick up some more bits from Anatomicals in the future.

*Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion - I really like this, its a good moisturiser, plus I love the packaging, I would pick up again at another time.

*Lush Bubble Wand - I can't remember which wand this was but I loved it, I love the Lush bubble wands, time to stock up on some more!

*Premae Face Tonique - Another Glossybox sample, it was ok however I've found another one to use from La Roche Posay so I've switched.

So there we have it, my empties of the last two months - what bits have you used up this month? xx

Ombre Hair Care

Hello!

So I've had a couple of discussions with people about how to look after ombré hair in the winter. I've had my hair ombré since September and in all honesty, I love it but it’s really damaged my hair. It's dry and brittle, the slightest puff of wind and it’s knotted up and I try to ignore the split ends!

I don't want to get rid of it, so I try and really care for my hair. To do this I have a whole range of products I love.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - before beauty blogging, I would never have considered higher priced product, however receiving this in a Glossy box has changed my mind. This is the second mini I've used up and I use this only on the ends when it's really dry - just wet the hair, pop this on and leave for 25mins before rinsing off leaving hair silky soft - split ends not mended but a lot better than before.

Lee Stafford Bleach Blonde Shampoo Conditioner - I picked this up after Zoe over at Zoella recommended it for keeping brassy tones away. The purple toned shampoo removes brassy tones, keeping it blonde. The shampoo is quite strong so I only use this once a week but the conditioner is used twice a week. I've noticed since using them that my hair is a lot blonder afterwards, and it stops it going too gingery.

John Frieda Full Repair Deep conditioner - this is my overnight treatment of choice, just wetting the end of my hair, cover it with this conditioner and then plaiting it in, leaving it over night before washing it out in the morning. It leaves my hair soft and silky, looking a lot better.

L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil - this is my most used product, I even carry it in my bag to work. I put this on after washing, after drying, during the day and then just before bed. It leaves the hair nourished and smoothed, making split ends look almost invisible. Obviously I only use this on the ends of my hair, any higher and my hair would need washing more often.

Finally, there is no quick fix for this, it damages your hair because you've used bleach and no amount of treatment will cure split ends, only a good trim will sort that. I try to avoid heat too often, washing my hair using much cooler water, wearing it curly rather than straight and letting it dry naturally, overall it's manageable but I really need to look after it.

Do you have any tips for looking after ombré hair? XX
