This Week - Make Up #9

One week down, its been so nice to not head into school this week, I've chilled out at home with my two boys, been on adventures with my mum and sister and cracked on with more decoration, so blogging has taken a back seat this week. These are actually all the bits I picked to wear this week that's just passed, its been nice to mix it up a bit, plus use up some really old favourites that last well in the heat - is anyone else's faces literally melting?!

This week I've grabbed out some really old products from Benefit. You Rebel and You Rebel lite. You Rebel was the first product I tried from Benefit at the tender age of 15, I looked slightly orange but it started a love affair! When they released You Rebel lite I picked it up to mix with You Rebel to make it more wearable. Sadly Benefit have discontinued the You Rebel line, something I am gutted with but now the hunt for a new tinted moisturiser is on. I've been wearing a mix of the Look Beauty Fresh Cheeks cream blush and Benefits Dallas powder to give a summer glow. Eyes have been a combo of this really old Seventeen Metallics Palette, Laura Mercier Cream Liner in Espresso, Benefit Browzing and Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Waterproof mascara. Finishing it off with a slick of Bourjois Rouge Edition in 11, a touch of coral.

I love this combo, its a great mix and textures and colours, perfect for the summer.

What bits have you been wearing this week? xx

Makeup - This Week #7

Another week, another round of make up. Having finished up a couple of bits last week, it is time to dip back into the stash & pull out some oldies!

This week I'm going for natural make up, I haven't got time for a lot of faff, plus the weather is getting warmer so I don't want stuff that will slide off my face!

This Week -

Face;
- Seventeen Matte Finish Foundation - nearly all used up!
- Benefit It Stick & Fake Up concealer - one for under eyes & one for face

Eyes & Brows;
- Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes - nearly all used up
- Laura Mercier Cream liner in Espresso
- Benefit Browzing
- Rimmel Scandeleyes Liner
Not pictured
Maybelline The Rocket Mascara (oops)

I didn't mean for this to be a Benefit heavy week, just kinda happens sometimes! Oh well, a busy week a head calls for a few treats to use!

What do you think of my selection this week? Anything you use & love? Xx

Makeup - This Week #1

Back for the New Year, I'm changing things up with the photography on here, no idea what you think but I quite like how they're turning out, just need to work on the focus of things.

I've changed the name of the series because I felt like it, that’s all really :) Onto this week!
Back to school tomorrow, it’s been nice to be off school; however I am looking forward to getting back and seeing my lovely children again. I also need to get back into wearing make up again, I've worn next to nothing for the past two weeks and it’s been great, however I don't want to scare the children!

Base -
Benefit Porefessional Primer
Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

Eyes -
Benefit Browzing
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
Urban Decay Naked Palette
SEVENTEEN Tattoo Me Liner

Cheeks -
Rimmel Stay Blushed Cream Blush
Bourjois Bronzing Primer

There are all my picks for this week; I'm hoping to get some of the bits finished soon so they might make regular appearances. What bits are you using this week? What do you think of the different backgrounds this week?

Sunday Make Up Shake Up #20

Evening all, hope the weekend has seen you well - I've spent the day planning, marking and cooking for the week ahead - lots of recipes coming up in the next couple of weeks!

This week at school should be a busy one, so I've picked things that I know will stick around on the skin for a long period of time:

- Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation - I love this for when I know I'm having pictures taken, no flashback, even coverage and suitable for my stressy skin at the moment.

- Benefit Erase Paste - Stressy skin means a high coverage of concealer is needed, so out comes this! With a dusting of powder this is great for under eyes and over spots.

- Benefit 10 Box Blush - Contour and blush in one box, an oldie but a good one, I've had this ages and its still going strong, I really should show it more love.

- MUA Undress Me Too Palette - This has sat unloved for a while, having used it today I don't know why I've missed the one out for so long, but its back and better then ever!

- Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes - No idea what this is like, it was in a Glossy Box and so I thought I would give it a try!

- Seventeen Photo Flawless Liner - This has always been a good liner, it lasts,  not too dark or too light and photo's really well.

There are my picks for this week, lots of things I can't wait to play with this week, what bits have you picked for this week? Have you picked any of these before? xx

Sunday Make-up Shake-up #15

Another week and its really feeling like autumn, so much so that I've changed everything around - the golds of the summer are at the bottom of the collection box and now we have some old autumn favourites back again. I'm also on a mission to use up my foundation collection, too many that are not getting fully used up and going a little funny so are chucked so time to use up!

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - old packaging, this is quite a good foundation for an oily skin so I'm welcoming it back into use, a full review will come next week I think.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealor - Love this, I blame Anna from Viviannadoesmakeup for this but this was my go to last winter and now I've repurchased its back again.

MUA Eye Primer - I've picked powder eyeshadow this week and having oily eyelids means the colour will be gone by lunch so hoping this will help it last longer.

HD Brow Pallette - From a Glossybox, I love making sure my eyebrows look awesome and this is a great little set, plus the lighter colours are good on the lids as well.

Benefit Dallas Powder Box - my tan is fading so Hoola was looking too orange on my skin but this is more flattering for contouring so its nice to dig it back out from the bottom of the collection again.

NYX Eyeshadow in In the Woods - Autumn colours finally, I've had this a while but don't often use it, I'm going to try and recreate a softer version of this look that from the lovely Pixiwoo

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara - I have a lot of love for this mascara so its nice to use it again.

SEVENTEEN Doll'd up liner - haven't used it for a while but I fancy some liner at the moment, last Friday I did a larger liner flick and got lots of compliments so I shall try this out.

be a bombshell liner in Onyx - it was in a Glossybox, I thought I would give it a try, will report back soon.

There are my bits for the week, what bits have you picked for this week? xx

SEVENTEEN Oh So Spring! Cheek Stamp in Coral - Review

Spring seems to have rushed off again, but the coral blushers are back out in force and newbie to the market is very different.

Seventeen have launched their Oh so spring! cheek stamp. This literally is a stamp for blusher. On the top you get a cute little mirror, and inside the stamper and the blush pan.

There are two colours, coral and pink, I picked up coral.

From the picture above, it easy to get a touch of the clown face with this as it does print a perfect circle on the cheeks that needs to be blended. I dotted the blush on my cheeks & then blended with my Real Techniques blush brush.

The coral is a gorgeous colour, perfect for summer with a warm tan. There is a hint of gold shimmer in the blush which works well to highlight - I only apologise for the sorry state I look in the picture, full of cold & high on Day nurse is not attractive.

For £4.99 theses are a great bargain, pop in store to pick this up as the colours are muddled up online.

What do you think, coral blush for spring? Is it a tad cheesy or something you would grab for on the go?
