Sunday Make-Up Shake Up #14

Come back summer!! I've had a clear out this week and picked out some bits I haven't used for a while as well as throwing out some rather smelly products - I almost felt sick throwing away half a bottle of MAC Face & Body, but it had to go.

Onto this week's

 choices;

Face:
- Benefit You're Bluffing (nearly finished, I'm digging product out now!)
- 17 Photoflawless Primer
- Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser

- Benefit Lemon Aid
- Benefit Browzing
- Bobbi Brown Gel Liner
- Rimmel Eyeshadow
-Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara

NOTD - 17 Fast Finish Nail Polish - Potion

Afternoon lovelie,

Thank god its Friday! I'm currently on my way up to Liverpool for the weekend, so expect to see a post on that soon. But I'm still very much in the Halloween spirit, and this polish is just perfect!

17 Cosmetics really produce some fantastic polishes, and when I saw this one in town I knew it had to be in my collection. Potion is a lovely gold duo-chrome that flashes bronze and green depending on the light its in.

The application was really good, this was opaque in two coats and it lasted well, with only tip wear showing after 4days which is great for the price of these.

You can pick up Potion up from Boots or Boots.com for grand sum of £2.99 - bargain!

What do you think? Have you tried this or any of the new polishes? x

Shopping my Stash #12

Afternoon lovelies - its so nice to be sat at in my PJs writing this, usually on my home from work, stuck in traffic and probably a bit grumpy.

This weeks picks are some old and some new pieces, that I love and can't wait to love.

Face:

Benefit Porefessional - I cannot wait to try this after reading like a million reviews!
Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation - I have the powder version and its OK but this was amazing when the MUA put this on me in Harrods, feel this is going to be a bit love :)
Benefit Hervana - gorgeous, glowy skin makes the grey weather all disappear.
Mac Blush in Harmony - bought this off Buya-Power as it looked like a great contour colour, had forgotten about it so hope its good.
Benefit It Stick concealer - I apply this with the Real Techniques Shading Brush to leave a smooth finish
HD Brows - love this, need to use this more often

Eyes & Lips

Benefit Lemon Aid - A great base for my make up, this really helps it last all day, I can even use it on its own to make me look more awake.
Urban Decay Naked Palette - Great for a different look each day, if I was only allowed one eyeshadow set ever again, then this would be it!
Bourjois Coup de Theatre Mascara - great for a subtle lash look, without being overpowering, a nice mascara.
17 Cosmetics Photofinish Eyeliner - I found this at the bottom of my bag, a liner that brings out the colour of my eyes is a good thing really :)
Duwop Venom Lipgloss - I'm not a big lip product person, but I'm trying to change this, starting with this gloss that I got from a Glossybox.

So lots of products this week, what are you using this week?

FOTD: Subtle Shimmer

Afternoon lovelies - how nice does it feel to know that tomorrow is a Bank Holiday?! I have been clinging to this day off for weeks now - need that day.

It's not often that I do a Face of the Day post, a) becuase I often don't have time, and b) I usually hate the way I look in the pictures, but for some reason these ones are ok.

This is the make up I wore yesterday to pop into town. It was really quick and easy, but I wanted to try out my recently purchased Brighton Rock lipstick from Topshop.

I've used:
17 BB Cream in Medium and Maybelline 24hr Superstay foundation in Ivory mixed together.
Benefit Stick It concealor
Benefit Lemon Aid as eye lid primer
Benefit Georgia to powder

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Gold all over
Elf eyeshadow - MoonDust for the crease and Ivory for the inner corner
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
HD Brow Palette
Benefit Coralista
Topshop Lipstick in Brighton Rock

I quite like this as it was very simply but the lips were the statement here - and I never wear bright/any lipstick! The gold added the light shimmer, making my eyes seem more awake.

An easy, fresh face for a Saturday shopping :D

NOTD : 17 Cosmetics Mint Choc Chip

Afternoon lovelies , mid way through week one of Easter and I've worked every day so I'm looking forward to a day off tomorrow before I head up North to the parentals :)

Question...where has the sun gone? The moment the sun came out I started craving something fresh and had a rummaged through my collection for something that would fit the need.

Mint Choc Chip is a bright blue toned mint green, with a lot of blue in it. It has a cool tone to it so a warmer skin tone then mine would really make it pop but don't think you can't wear it.

I love the polishes from 17, I seem to pick up a new one every week, although they tend to get over looked whenever I get some from other brands, but I always go back to them.

Coverage was really good, this was two coats, but I've since topped up another coat as being in school ruined the tips (damn display boards) and I can't bear to part with it yet!

This is a polish that everyone should own, a flattering shade all year round, but perfect for this summer!

What do you think?

Shopping my Stash #8

Afternoon lovelies, Monday has flown by, but it is so nice know that its still the half term!

I write this as my boy cooks tea and washes up ( he's well trained) which gives me a chance to catch up on blogs and write up some posts.

This weeks make up choices are because it's half term and I never know what is coming up so I've tried to pick things that work for most occasions.

Face:
Why can't I rotate this?!
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - I'm still slogging away with this, but I have found a way to make it more bearable!

17 Cosmetics BB Cream - This is my more bearable way. I mix this with my foundation and it just makes it easier to use, plus it leaves my skin looking and feeling a bit fresher.

Elf All Over Cover Stick - Bought this ages ago so need to give it another try before I can fully comment on it.

Benefit Georgia and Benefit 10 - I love Georgia, lovely peachyness in a box that leaves a nice cover. Then we have 10 which is my first nod towards the summer. I love the bronzer in it as a contour and then mixed together to give a warmer blush on the cheeks, summer is on its way!

Eyes:

I've picked some bits which allow me to make lots of different eye looks, depending on what I'm doing!

MUA Heaven and Earth Pallete - I adore this, I had this before I got my Naked palette so it holds a special place. Plus I learnt to create a smokey eye with this one so I love it even more! Just wish my local Superdrug actually stocked it properly!

Maybelline 24Hr Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe - I plan to use this is a base for my eyeshadow or just to wear on its own. I love the colour it gives, which you can see here in this post.

17 Cosmetics Photoflawless Eye Pencil in Black/Gold - This is an oldy in my stash, I had forgotten about it but I love how it makes my eyes stand out more! I picked this colour as its supposed to make brown eyes stand out, I'm not so sure but I still love it for its staying power.

Soap and Glory Arch de Triumph - another thing I had forgotten about but I use this to fill my brows as it gives a lovely colour that doesn't leave me with a scouse brow!

Maybelline Cat Eye Mascara - Love this, it gives a full and dark eye, which wings out my eyelashes.

So there you have it, this weeks choices. If there's anything you want a fuller review on then please let me know as I have a bit of time on my hands and need some blog post ideas!

Recent Buys - Magazines, New Look, Boots & Lush

Evening lovelies, Wednesday again, woohoo!!!

At the weekend I found my camera cable which meant I could pull off some pictures that were stuck on there! At the start of the month I did a bit of shopping and picked up a few bits, but there are loads of things I want!

 Stocked up on magazines!

Three Knit Tops from New Look in the Sale

Real Techniques Blush Brush, Benefit Hervana, 17 Cosmetics Nail Polish - all from Boots

OPI Ink - found this in Trade Secret

Leap Frog, Madame Butterfly, Karma Bubble Bar - from Lush

This was only 3 weeks ago but already I have fallen in love with all of these things, I need to get some reviews of bits up soon, any requests?
