Sephora Haul

As someone obsessed with beauty products, when we booked tickets to head to Paris for the day I knew I had to find a Sephora to pop into. A quick check on Twitter and I was pointed to the one on the Champs-Élysées so we jumped off our tour bus and I practically ran into the building.

I don't need to explain what Sephora is but it was amazing walking into the mothership and just seeing all of the brands of make up just sitting there waiting to be looked at. I wandered around in a daze before setting my sights on the Sephora own brands as that's something we cant get here. After playing with as much as possible I settled on the Sephora Collection IT Palette which is a neutral palette with 12 shades, a brush and and brow pencil, perfect for travelling between all the parentals.

Next I grabbed the Benefit They're Real Push Up liner as it was something that I've wanted for a while plus it was cheaper then in the Uk.

Finally I threw in an own brand hand moisturiser to have in my bag as I get very dry skin, plus this one smells of coconuts so I'm keeping that summer scent alive.

I could have bought twice as much but I refrained myself, plus somethings were not as reasonably priced - just something to bear in mind when shopping abroad.

I loved visiting Sephora however it was a tad overwhelming, I think if I get the chance to go again I will do my research and go with a list rather then running around like a child in a sweet shop.

Overall the experience was great, one that I hope to repeat at some point in the future!

What do you think of my haul? Have you been to Sephora? xx

Half Term Haul

So half term has now whizzed by too quickly (booo!) Back to school on Monday. No half term wouldn't be complete without a little shopping trip with my mum. We headed to Springfields Shopping  Outlet at Spalding, a medium sized outlet store of lower end shops, like the poorer brother to Bicester Village but still good nonetheless.

I knew I wanted to head to the Beauty Outlet store as a must, but we also stopped off in Marks & Spencers and Hallmark Outlet.

I didn't expect to find anything in M&S, as far as I was concerned its not a shop I normally go into, but I was surprised to pick up two pairs of jeggings, one dotty and one berry coloured, for under £30! My mum also bought me the highlighter pink jumper, it was down from £39 to £8.99, it's so comfy and snuggly. I'm really impressed with how the jumper and jeggings fit, I can see me getting a lot of wear out of them!

Next stop was Beauty Outlet Store. Think poor mans CCO, there were lots of beauty items, but the first stand I headed to was OPI. I picked up two bottles as they were  £6.99 each, 'I Brake for Manicures' and 'French Quartet for your thoughts' both from the Touring America collection back in 2011. I also picked up a W7 Dotting Tool Nail Art set for £2.99, my favourite Sally Hansen Gel Cuticle Remover for £2.99 and a bottle of Korres Conditioner for £1.99 - thought I would give it a try!

Finally I spent ages smelling all the Yankee Candles in the Hallmark Outlet store. For 90p each I thought the samplers were a bargain so picked up 3! Autumn Blooms and Warm Spice smell amazing, all warming and cosy - can't wait to burn these!

Not pictured is a baby grow from Babygap for my friend, Gap had 30% off most of their items, so a fleecy babygrow for under £10 was something I couldn't resist!

So there we have it, the last haul of November - I'm hoping this will tide me over until December - if not then I think I need a sponsor!

What have you been buying recently? What other Yankee Candles do I need? xx

Mini-Insta-Haul - Rimmel & Maybelline

Like most beauty bloggers/girls I know I am strangely drawn into Boots & compelled to buy something!

I only popped in to buy water but walked out with these! Thank god it's only two items but still!!

I've wanted the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate for ages, perfect for Autumn. I have much love for the Ither colour tattoos that it was only a matter of time before this was added.

As a lover of the old packaging/formula, I was curious to try this & compare. I struggled to colour match myself, I sometimes wish Boots would have someone to help colour match the 'high-street' foundations & not just the high end ones. I plumped for True Ivory as Ivory was too pale but we will see - this might end up as a mixer foundation.

So just two bits I picked up, I was on the hunt for the Halloween bits from Lush but the store in Watford doesn't have them yet so an online purchase shall have to be made!

Anywhoo - what have you Insta-Hauled this weekend? Have you picked up either if these? Xx

London Hauling

So yesterday I met up with my sister for a 'sister date' and to spend the day together for her day of birthing. I had a sneak surprise up my sleeve & had secretly bought her tickets to see Matilda - she's a Mahoosive Tim Minchin fan so had wanted to see this for ages! Bless her, she cried when I gave her the tickets 20mins before the show started - sneaky big sister!

We met in Covent Garden, so had a wander around before getting some lunch at the Diner. First stop was Urban Outfitters, where I picked up some sunglasses in the sale - a bargain for £8! I love the shape of these round ones. We then walked past the Benefit store, and were lulled in by the flash sale of the new blush box - I had planned to buy it when it's out in Sept, but the offer of discount & a goody bag meant it was a bargain! In the goody bag there were mini samples of Its Potent eye cream, Total Moisture Facial Cream, Triple Performing Facial Emulsion, a cute mini They're Real mascara, a sample of Porefessional, a sample of Stay Flawless Primer and a cute notebook! I love a goody bag!

We wandered around Trafalgar Square, headed up the Mall to Buckingham palace, saw a man taking a snake for a walk, walked through Green Park and jumped on the tube as the rumbles of thunder came.

Just before the rain hit we headed to Topshop to recoup a bit, grabbed a drink, rescued a lady who had fallen asleep in the toilet and then wandered! I was gutted as all the clothes I wanted weren't there or not in the tall section so I went hunting a rucksack - I picked up this black denim one as I love the detailing on it! I've wanted a rucksack for ages, love the 90s grunge feel of this, it will carry me through winter as well i think. I also grabbed so socks as I wanted ankle socks to wear with boots & dresses this summer.

After that we headed home, bellies full of fish & chips, after a rather strange & exciting day!

What do you think, a rucksack fan? What strange things have you seen in London? Xx

A whole lot of hauling - Primark

Evening lovelies, hope your well. So at the weekend, I posted the first part of my recent hauling, well here is the second part, there is a third part to follow as well :)

I've picked up a few bits, but I need a revamp to my work wear for the summer - just need the sun to come out now!

I have a black dip hem skirt that I love and will post about soon that I want to wear for school and fell in love with this top. It's actually very see through, but I think with a flesh coloured top underneath it will actually look of, tucked in to that skirt or any other black skirt that I own. I love that its only £8.00, which is a real bargain.

The necklace is another gorgeous heavy metal one from Primark, and for only £4 it would have been rude not to pick it up!

I love the digital watercolour print on this top - I plan to wear this quite casually with again my black cross over skirt again, denim jacket and either my wedge boots, flip flops or my new wedges from Topshop (will show you soon) Its very see through so again I'm thinking flesh colour top underneath as no one wants to see my nude torso :(

Another £4.00 Primark collar that I've seen a few bloggers rocking, 'join the club' springs to mind.

Finally I picked up this off white/grey shirt with contrasting black collar and these cute collar tips. It was the tips that drew me to it. Had I known it would crease quite this much then I might not have picked it up, but nothing a good iron can't fix!

So there we go, another haul, just in time to enable you all at the weekend! xx

A little(ish) Primark Haul

Afternoon lovelies, hope your well. I'm just having a cheeky break from planning by taking my lovely friend and her 3month old baby swimming!

Recently I've been craving some new clothes, especially as the weather has been all over the place! So due to limited funds I headed to Primarni and picked up a few pieces.

Mint Green Chinos - I picked these up as I wanted some colour in my life that I can wear to work as their a bit smarter for summer but dress them down with some white pumps.

Tshirt + Aztec Leggings - I fell in love with this Tshirt, its super cute! Plus the leggings are something I thought I would never buy but I love them and this is my 3rd pair!

Midi striped dresses - These seem to have become the blogger dresses recently as I've seen quite a few bloggers wearing them, but I picked them up and look forward to wearing these in the summer - just need some shoes to wear with them!

Mens Tshirts - These were in the Primark sale from the mens section but I love them. I plan to customise both of them for the summer, roll up the sleeves and cut the necks off to make them a better shape. I've worn both and am glad I got them in Medium!

So just a little(ish) haul but I needed the clothes!

What do you think? Any bits you have picked up recently?

A small haul :S

Ok so the title is a bit of a lie, but this is really 3 shopping trips all rolled into one - I've just been too busy to get things photographed and posted!

I was very lucky to recieve a large amount of tax back from Inland Revenue as I had paid too much so I decided to put 3/4 of it away and spend 1/4 on myself, and where better to go then straight to Primark!

So here it is, just a small haul!

Floor length, burnt orange maxi skirt with rope belt - £16.00. I can't wait to wear this with a royal blue top or another colour, any suggestions of what?
Blue and Burnt Orange shirts - £8.00 each. These are going to be great for the summer with my black maxi skirt, as well as for back at school in September ( yes I know I have 6 weeks off, but I like to plan ahead!)

Aztec Print T-shirt - £3.00. A total bargin, will be living in this when I go into school over the summer with my jeans or shorts.

Blue top - £4.00. I love the front and back detailing of this top, I want to wear it with my orange skirt above, but also with my black maxi skirt.

Sheer blue Shirt - £10.00. This picture doesn't do the shirt justice, a gorgeous oversized shirt which I want to layer over black or orange tops for the summer, a slightly smarter option.
Aztec print scarf - £3.00. I love a good scarf, especially in an Aztec print!

Cranberry Red Satchel - £7.00. Bang on trend this season is my new going out bag, so excited to have a small satchel as I really like the trend.

Tribal sandals - £8.00? I can't remember how much these were but they are so very comfy, and look really good with all sorts of outfits. There is a slight defect between the two sandals, some of the stones are not the same but you can't tell and I guess that's what low cost products result in!

Over all I did quite well, I also picked up some basic tops which aren't very exciting. Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to the Spitalfield Markets so I'm sure I will have other things to show you from there! What things have you been buying recently?
