17 Blowout Mascara

Afternoon lovelies.

I've gone through a lot of products at the moment and needed a new mascara. So when I popped into Boots to have a look at what was on offer, 17 had a new mascara.

Blow Out mascara claims to offer x12 volume, with a thickening, conditioning formula enriched with Vitamin E & Argan oil. Now I've heard of Argan oil for your hair but never for your eyelashes?!

I must say I was disappointed with this product. I thought that with the big brush, this would actually give my stubby lashes a bit of a boost...sadly not. Instead I was left looking that I had one coat of average mascara, getting no definition or difference.

I picked it up in brown/black for a more natural look, but it's less natural and more naked. To help, I've been layering this underneath my nearly dead Benefit Badgal to give it a boost, and it seems to be working but I won't pick this up again.

If you've had a different experience I would love to know, or have you had th same problem?

Xx

Shopping my Stash #14

Evening lovelies, how miserable is the weather today, means everyone's gone a bit mad at school, not being able to get outside!

So something to brighten your day, this weeks stash.

Face:

- Murad Skin Perfecting Primer - this appeared many months ago in the January Glossybox, looked at it and put it in my bag of samples and forgot about it, but I'm making myself to use up the products and this one is actually quite a nice product. It applies quite dark on my pale skin but as you blend this disappears and it feels more like a tinted moisturiser.

- 17 Matte foundation - a new product to me, but I've been curious for a while and so picked it up while it was on offer in Boots at the weekend. It claims to leave skin feeling and looks matte for longer - let's see how this copes with my oily skin!

- Benefit Erase Paste - a nice, thick, full coverage concealer for those big bag days, a must after half term!

- Benefit Georgia - I have this just on my forehead as that remain oily no matter what I try, I have this invade the foundation doesn't live up to claims.

- Benefit Dallas blusher box - the sun may not be shining, but this add a warm flush to the skin as though you've been in the sun for weeks. I adore these boxes, and swear by this one for the cooler summer days as its not tan or pink!

Eyes:

- Urban Decay Primer Potion - Another sample, I ignored it as I didn't know if it would replace my beloved Lemon Aid but I fancied a change, and this was the first one I found.

- MUA Immaculate Collection - I love this palette but I really need to become more adventurous with it as intend to be quite safe. So many pigmented colours that I never use, this will be my mission this week!

- Rimmel Scandalous Mascara - another newbie for me, borrowed this from my mum (sorry mum!) as I was curious about it, will it compete with my favourite mascara - Maybelline Falsies?!

- NYX Eyebrow/Liner Pencil in Medium Brown - picked this up a while ago. I like it for brows and eyes for a bit of definition.

- Avon Glimmerstick in Copper - something different for a change.

- Benefit Browzing in Medium - this was my main brow kit for many years but it has become somewhat ignored with the arrival of my HD brow kit but I love the brow wax for keeping my brows defined.

So there you have it, another week and another stash shopping - what products have you chosen this week?

Shopping my stash #6

Afternoon lovelies, hope Monday wasn't too bad for you!

I hate Mondays, I always feel kinda out of it at school, not to mention tired! This week I've been picking items which will make me seem awake at school, but will last the day!

Face:

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - Still trying to use it, have found two thinner layers gives better coverage but still not loving it (hurry up payday!)

Benefit Hervana & Coralista Blush Box - For me, Benefit make some of the best blushes, especially for those of us with pale skin! I think I have nearly every blush/bronze box and these two are ones that I reach for quite a lot for a fresh, spring flush!

Benefit Georgia Blush Box - I love this box, I love it so much that I have a back up one that I rushed out and bought when I found out that it was being discontinued. I use this to set my foundation and to tackle oily bits during the day, leaving a peachy flush!

Eyes:

Soap and Glory Wizard of Flaws - This was in a gift box from Christmas 2010(!) but clearing out the box in the bathroom brought it back to my attention and now I'm trying it out - will review it soon and let you know!

NYX Eye Palette in - I picked this up at a discount store over half term with my Mum. I havent used it yet but have heard a lot of good things about NYX so can't wait to try it out! Plus I only paid £4 for it!

17 Cosmetics Vintage Metallics palette - I found this in the bottom of my Beauty Box and knew I had to give it some love. I don't go for bright colours for spring so this is great for me and I love it, only wish they weren't Limited Edition as I don't want this to run out!

Bourjois Coup De Theatre 2 in 1 Mascara - I quite like this, the plastic brush means I can get separated lashes with a lot of product on, plus the product leaves me with thick, black lashes that I love! I received this with the Bourjois foundation at Christmas but I quite like it!

So there's my make-up for the week, I quite enjoy this although I do have a hankering for some new foundations, might need to mix it up with some of the ones I already have, but I would love an recommendations from you!
