Advent Door 7 - Berry Lip Products

Today I have a fantastic guest post from the lovely Nadja, so read on and prepare to want to spend some money on some seriously berry lip colours!

~

Hiya! I am a 23 year old London based Beauty Blogger with a soft spot for shopping, cats and chocolate. These three elements literally rule my life. Oh how my debit card loves me. I give it a lot of love. I run a blog 'Throw me something beautiful' which banters on and on about beauty. So if you’re looking for a new little corner of the internet to hobble around in, you are welcome to mine! Here's hoping I do you guy’s justice with my post today! Let’s get cracking...

It comes to that time of year when the world falls in love with the different shades of berry coating our lips. I love a good jazzed up berry lip. It’s the perfect trend for the colder seasons. Here are a few berry shades that you can pocket for a fair price...

Korres 'Wild Rose' Lip Butter | £6.99 ... Tinting your lips with a delightful pink berry colour, this jazzy number nourishes your lips yet brightens them with a pop of colour. It’s incredibly easy to wear. It’s a fuss free number. No sliding or gliding over your teeth or food. Definitely a winner in my books. One for an on the go sort of girl.

Revlon 'Raspberry Pie' Lip Butter | £7.99 ... This is a range that has won over everyone's hearts, but now I introduce you to a colour you may have overlooked. This Pink bordering on Purple lip butter oozes beauty. Literally oozing. It’s a staple in my lip closet. It’s been there for some time. It’s a tad more pigmented then the others. It holds a little less transparency but it coats your lips with a beautiful dark pink. It’s definitely a lippy you should check out. You will not be disappointed.

Revlon 'Crush' Lip Stain | £7.99 ... Another number from Revlon steals the spotlight. It’s a dark plum sort of colour that looks wonderful on. In stick form it may look a bit boring. It’s not. It’s definitely a wonderful creation. It throws a nice sheer wash of purple over your lips, wonderful for the winter season.

Rimmel '107' Lipstick | £5.49 ... This is a lipstick that I get complimented wearing time and time again. If you’re looking to fish for compliments, this may be the one for you. This is definitely the boldest of the selection. It’s a gorgeous dark purple like red that creates a statement. You will draw attention. It’s just a really lovely deep number for the winter.  This product is definitely a go to of mine.

Which of these are you besotted with? Feel free to pop on over to my little pocket of the internet. I welcome you all!

Thank you Nadja so much for the post, I adore berry lips and have been rocking them for the last couple of weeks. If you want more info about Nadja and her gorgeous blog then check out her links here!

Advent Door 6 - Apricot Xmas Outfits

Apricot Xmas Outfits

Morning!

Day 6 today, what did you  get in your advent calendar today?
Today I've paid my money for my works Xmas do, so I'm now on the hunt for the party outfit. I don't always enjoy the search for an outfit, it always ends up with me getting stressed out and I just end up picking the first thing I found! So I'm starting early and looking at outfits from various online retailers.

First up is the offerings from Apricot. I like Apricot a lot, we have a good concession in town and I've picked up quite a few bits. Looking at their partywear, they had a really good range of different dress styles.

First up I picked the Fuchsia Tartan Belted Skater Dress. I have a real obsession with tartan at the moment and this dress would be really good to wear both to the Xmas party as well as on Xmas day with my christmas jumper over the top. Next I fancied the Stone Lace Top Dip Hem. Last year I loved dip hem dresses, I wore so many of them, but its nice to see them still available this year as well. Thirdly I picked the Sequin Chiffon Top. I'm not really a dress girl, I like a good dress but not on a night out, I fear the drunk falling over/arse on display problem, so tops and disco pants are much better - I love a bit of bling at christmas! Finally, my favourite of the bunch - this dress is a bit special.  The Sequin Mesh Shift Dress is gorgeous. The soft grey dress with the sequin detail is stunning! This with black tights would be ah-ma-zing!

Finally, as a treat, Apricot are offering my readers free delivery for this weekend only! Using the code BLOGEXCLUSIVE you will get free delivery on all order from today until Sunday!

I think I might just have to take up the offer, that shift dress is just too gorgeous to resist! Let me know if you use the code - what are you planning on wearing for your Xmas party? xx

Advent Door 5 - Christmas Decoration from Next

Christmas Decoration from Next

I am a tad addicted to house decoration at the moment, buying a house will do that to you. I've been browsing Pinterest non-stop at the moment and really want to get into the house as soon as. Sadly I know we won't be in until after Xmas, but that doesn't stop me dreaming of decorating and adding seasonal touches!

Pinterest has given me loads of products from Next recently, I didn't really consider Next as I don't shop there for clothes, but a quick browse of the home catalogue and I can see a lot of my wages being spent here!

I've picked lots of traditional bits, starting with the tartan check curtains. My obsession with tartan is going a bit far but I don't care, I need these curtains in my life.

Next up, a couple of cushions, these are really seasonal, a glittery stag and a Christmas cushion, hello sparkly stag, get on my sofa!  I love the cushion with the text; print cushions are so cute, great gifts for others as well.

A snuggly, chunky knit throw, this reminds me of the scarf that my grandma has knitted me in previous years, this thrown over the sofa would be awesome, I do have a poorly blankey which is knitted by my nan, but one in cream would be a nice extra touch.

Final touches would be the Christmas bunting, heart baubles and a couple of candles. I like scented candles as well as the large glass jar. I know I could probably make the bunting cheaper, but my craft skills are really not that good!

I know Next is slightly pricey, but the bits are really cute - now I need to go and decorate my home! Which bits would you pick? Xx
