Advent Door 6 - Apricot Xmas Outfits

Apricot Xmas Outfits

Morning!

Day 6 today, what did you  get in your advent calendar today?
Today I've paid my money for my works Xmas do, so I'm now on the hunt for the party outfit. I don't always enjoy the search for an outfit, it always ends up with me getting stressed out and I just end up picking the first thing I found! So I'm starting early and looking at outfits from various online retailers.

First up is the offerings from Apricot. I like Apricot a lot, we have a good concession in town and I've picked up quite a few bits. Looking at their partywear, they had a really good range of different dress styles.

First up I picked the Fuchsia Tartan Belted Skater Dress. I have a real obsession with tartan at the moment and this dress would be really good to wear both to the Xmas party as well as on Xmas day with my christmas jumper over the top. Next I fancied the Stone Lace Top Dip Hem. Last year I loved dip hem dresses, I wore so many of them, but its nice to see them still available this year as well. Thirdly I picked the Sequin Chiffon Top. I'm not really a dress girl, I like a good dress but not on a night out, I fear the drunk falling over/arse on display problem, so tops and disco pants are much better - I love a bit of bling at christmas! Finally, my favourite of the bunch - this dress is a bit special.  The Sequin Mesh Shift Dress is gorgeous. The soft grey dress with the sequin detail is stunning! This with black tights would be ah-ma-zing!

Finally, as a treat, Apricot are offering my readers free delivery for this weekend only! Using the code BLOGEXCLUSIVE you will get free delivery on all order from today until Sunday!

I think I might just have to take up the offer, that shift dress is just too gorgeous to resist! Let me know if you use the code - what are you planning on wearing for your Xmas party? xx

Apricot Under £10 Sale Picks

Apricot Under £10 sale

I love a good sale but found that this summer there was a lot of rubbish in the sales of most mainstream shops so I often shop online for sale bits. A really late sale this season is from Apricot but its an awesome sale with everything under £10.

I've picked the bits that I've placed an order for and wanted to share it with you!

I wanted some oversized shirts to wear with my disco pants as well as skinny jeans over the autumn with my leather jacket & boots. The two bird print shirts are super cute, and the navy colour means they will be on trend for longer, plus the longer length means I can wear them over disco pants without front bottoms being on show! Both are

The Aztec dress is a bargain at £10 and and its  print that I love, I will wear this with jumpers and tights over the autumn to get lots of use out of it. I love the cap sleeves and the gathered waist, very girly but it can still be edged up.

I've wanted an oversized grey t-shirt all summer and saw this for throwing on over jeans for the autumn and layering with jumpers and cardigans.

Finally the glitzy dress is something I thought I would pick up because I have a staff night out soon and it would look awesome for that,

All of these items are £10 so I got all 5 for £50, great when you consider how much the price of Topshop items are, you'ld be lucky to get two items for under £50 at the moment!

There are my picks, but there are hundreds more options under £10 over at the site so head on over to Apricot.

Let me know what you pick and if you want WIWT outfit posts when I wear them? xx

Spring/Summer '13 Trends from Apricot

It may not seem like it, but in a matter of weeks spring will be upon us. Already the shops are starting to fill up with new season trends to tempt us to spend our pennies, and my wishlist is already starting to grow!

Recently, I was lucky enough to be sent a Lookbook from Apricot for SS '13 and I've had to keep it under-wraps until today! I have looked through this book sooo many times since I got it on Monday, and have post-it notes on everything I want!

Inspired by the swinging 60's, the shapes of this collection are very feminine, with cinched in waists, pencil skirts and monochrome detailing, I especially love the lazer cut dress for work in the summer!

Blue has to be one of my favourite trends for the coming season, and with a selection of shades, Apricot have really hit the nail on the head. I love the Roseanna blouse which is longer line for wearing with shorts come the warmer weather or with my disco pants.

I want everything from the collection!!!! I love the the desaturated prints, the darker colours and the fact that studs and crosses continue. The dress and the jumper are on my wishlist with out a doubt!

I love Apricot, my Works Xmas outfit was from there and I love the fit and flare of the clothes, plus there is a store in Westfield!! To have a look at the full collections, head over to the website -   http://www.apricotonline.co.uk - as an extra treat, if you spend £50 on the new season trend, you can get £10 off if you use TERRIFIC10 - I know what I'm going to be doing this evening!

What trends of the new season are you most looking forward to? Which outfit would you pick? xx

Apricot &; Now Magazine Xmas Collection

Morning lovelies, hope you had a good weekend and got up to lots of fun things!

So last week the sign up sheet went up at work for the Xmas do, so now I need to find  my dress or outfit the night out! As if by magic, the press release from Apricot popped into my inbox, with a link to their collection with Now Magazine for the party season.

I've always dismissed Apricot as they only ever have the smaller sizes available in my local New Look, and I like to try on dresses as I don't like them too short! However looking through this collection, there are a few choices that I wouldn't mind having hanging up in my Wardrobe.

Gothic Lace Skater Dress
Gothic Lace Skater Dress - £36.00
I love that this dress is purple and not black, it adds a nice twist. The waistband is elasticated so should hold everything in without being too tight after a few too many vinos!

Mirror Lace Dress
Mirror Lace Dress - £39.00
This dress calls for a lot of Fake Tan!! I love the mirror print of this dress, anything that draws the eye to curves is good! I'd wear this with my Allegra Boots and Biker Jacket!!
Black Glitzy Shoulder Belted Dress
Black Glitzy Shoulder Belted Dress - £34.00
This is nice and simple as far as LBD's go, with the twist of the shoulders. The wrap front is better for me then some of the others, and I would love both this one and the navy one! This could so easily be dressed down as well for a daytime look!

There are 8 dresses in the collection at the moment, each of them designed to flatter and look gorgeous throughout the party season, and are reasonably priced really, with all of them being under £40!

If you haven't seen the collection yet then head over to the Apricot site or check them out New Look.

Which dress would you pick? How would you style these three dresses? xx
