#BigBlogmasproject2014 Day 10 - One for the boys!

One for the Boys

Morning all, sorry for the lack of post on the 8th, I just needed a day off, plus my photo diary was rubbish!!!

Up today, its time for a post for the men in our lives. I've chosen to go with the big kid adult men in my family and pick a mix of fun and proper presents. All of these are in the Boots 3 for 2 or Christmas offers as its the place I head to first for inspiration or low cost gifts.

Starting off with smellies, I adore the smell of the Boss fragrance, its a repurchase for my boy every year! Add to that a full set from Clarins to keep him clean and handsome for another year.

For a few silly teats, I love the FM shower radio and the Stags head, perfect in our little house. Add to that, something for the boys desk, somewhere to rest his phone or for me to steal!

So we have just a few bits for the boys, I'm sure there are loads more but these are my favourites! What do you think of my choices?! xx

#BigBlogmasproject2014 Day 2 - Space NK Gift Guide

Space NK Wishlist

I love the whole process of picking out presents for someone I care about, I can spend ours on line looking for the perfect gift. Today's post is a gift guide for the women in your lives.

I picked out a mixture of make up and nail polish as they're things that I would also like to receive. Out of the whole collection it's the make up that I really want - the Nars Palette and the Hourglass palette are two things that I know are one the list of so many people because they are beautiful. The Eve Lom lip balm is a cute treat for on the tree, perfect for all the days spent wearing lipstick and the cold weather. The Laura Mercier set is a nice set of nude colours, perfect for the everyday look lover. Finally a few little trinkets, the Eyelash Curlers have a cult status whilst the Ciate Nail polish is just cute and who doesn't love a cute product!

So there's my gift guide for the women in your lives - now to start dropping hints to the man in mine that I would like some of these! Which bits do you want? xx

Boots April Wishlist

Boots April Wishlist

I've walked round Boots so many times this past week, meeting up with friends in town for a wander and a shop, adding things to the wish list of what I could buy all the things I really need!
Some of these might become mine by the end of the month, who knows but all of them will be mine at some point!

First up - Smashbox Full Exposure Palette - £36 , how gorgeous is this palette?! I've read every review that’s popped up in my feed, swatched it in store 4 times and had the MUA on the counter do a look with one but I've yet to part with my money. It’s such a lovely collection of colours, perfect for the types of looks I normally wear. Next, Ojon Damage Reverse Treatment - £34, my poor hair is very dry at the moment, having just added a fresh ombré to it hasn’t helped so I need something like this to bring life back into it, and also it smells amazing! Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector - £27.50, another product from Benefit, another one I've read every review of that pops up, this is perfect for me as its supposed to be perfect for oily skinned gals like me. Finally, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - £4.99. The cheapest of the bunch but something I keep looking at as a replacement for Bioderma, something for in my gym bag to get ready quickly or just to take my makeup off quickly before the end of the day.

I think some of these needs to be in my collection ASAP, which bits are you after this month? Xx

M&S Beauty Discovery Event 2014

M&S Beauty Discovery Event

I don't often pop into M&S, only really if I'm stocking up on Percy pigs or walnut whips, as a kid it was where we went to pick out Nan's Xmas present, so I was very surprised when I went in on one Percy related mission to find myself standing looking at the Phillip Kingsley range in their beauty department. After a quick walk round, I found loads of different brands that are normally only available online or in John Lewis, some that I love and some that I've never tried before.

Mothers Day Gifts Under £30 from Lookfantastic

Mothers Day Gifts Under £30 from Lookfantastic

Mothers Day is around the corner and because of buying a house, things are a little bit tight this year so I've been hunting out the best buys on a budget. I've set a limit of £30 for my mum this year, she has helped so much with all the house stuff that I want to treat her to something nice.

I headed over to Lookfantastic.com as they do some really good deals and I know that my mum would love something to pamper herself with as she works hard as a nurse.

1) L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand &Foot Duo (£22) – Mum works hard as a nurse, looking after poorly people, looking after us, so her hands deserve a treat so this is perfect, plus I know it smells amazing as I have them!
2) Pixi Perfection Palette (£24) - Lit-Up Lovely couldn't be a better name for a palette, this one is perfect for mums everywhere - lots of neutral and soft pink colours, nothing harsh or over powering, great for neutral looks.
3) Elizabeth Arden Pretty EDP 30ml (£30) - This is something that I know mum would love, its a soft and subtle fragrance, perfect for spring, plus its a small enough bottle that it fits in a handbag without being heavy.
4) Elizabeth Arden 8hr Intensive LipRepair Balm (£16.80) - A pot that I remember being on mum's bedside table as a kid, she tends to stick to cheaper brands now, so I might treat her this year.
5) OPI Take 10 Mini Kit (£28.50) - Being a nurse, mum can't wear a lot of nail polish but that doesn't mean she can't treat herself to a pedicure. This kit contains some of my favourite colours including Lincoln Park After Dark and You Don't Know Jacques.

So there we have it, all my picks for Mothers Day from Lookfantastic.com, head over to check out them and loads of others.
What bits would you pick for your mum? What else could I get her? xx

Advent Door 3 - Hair Care Gifts Under £25

Hair Care Under £25 Gifts

A new door, a new wishlist. I've started thinking about the presents I want to give people, however this year I'm on quite a budget due to having bought the flat, so I thought I would make this the Christmas of under £25 gifts.

An easy gift to give is beauty products, especially hair care bits and bobs. I'm hoping someone might look at this and want to buy me some of these bits. Winter is a time to need hair protection so the bits I've picked are all great for this time of year.
·          Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - A 150ml pot of this will give you soft, swishy hair this winter, protecting it from damage
·         Redken Smooth Lock Gift Set, contains - Redken Smooth Lock Shampoo 300ml, Smooth Lock Conditioner 250ml and Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray 75ml - I would love this for when I want to straighten my hair.
·         Redken Extreme Anti-Snap 250ml - a good pre-heat treatment to prevent breakage and keep hair smooth and sleek.
·         TIGI Bed Head Urban Antidote Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner - Ok so this is slightly over £25, but for two massive bottles, this would stock someone up until Easter.
·         Michel Mercier Detangling Hairbrush for Thick Hair - To protect the hair when styling and brushing a good brush is needed and this one has a lot of great reviews from other bloggers and it’s well worth the £15 price tag!
·         Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrating Treatment - I've seen this raved about by Elle from All That Glitters, so it’s something I would love to try. The weather has taken its toll on my hair so this would be a nice treat.
All of these are under £25 (bar one) and I'm hoping at least the brush is under the tree for me this year!

Which bits would you like to find under your tree from Santa? xx

Advent Door 6 - Gifts for Sisters - Feel Unique

Advent Door 6 - Gifts for Sisters - Feel Unique

Morning lovelies

I thought I would open the door a bit earlier today - do you prefer it now or a bit later?

So as it's Thursday, that means late night shopping in town and I need to get on with my shopping or else there will be no visit from Santa!

Today I've been thinking about what to get my little sister, I know she wants hair and beauty stuff so thought I would collect some ideas together for you. All the gifts are £30 or less, and I think a great gift idea for sisters or just for yourself!

1 - Redken Extreme Gift Set - £17.00 - I'm sure most of us at this time of year have rather frazzled ends to our hair, so some TLC is much needed. This kit gives you that as it includes:
- Redken Extreme Shampoo 300ml
- Redken Extreme Conditioner 250ml
Both of these total more then £25 but at £17 that's a good saving.

2 - Tangle Teezer Original - £10.20 - I really want one of these, I know that this would help with my long curly hair as well as my sister shorter curlier hair. I love that this is purple and glittery, and I know lots of people swear by them :)

3 - Joico Moisture Recovery Set - £19.95 - So again with the heavy treatment, curly hair often lacks moisture hence the frizz you get, so I thought this would be great for my sister. This set contains:
- Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo for Dry Hair 300ml
- Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner for Dry Hair 300ml
It totals over £26 so to get it for under £20 is good value.

4 - Morroccan Oil Treatment 100ml - £30.45 - So every blogger and every girl in the world surely has heard of Morroccan Oil and how wonderful it is, especially treating dry hair. My sister mentioned this a while a go, and I thought this would be a nice treat for her.

5 - Philip Kingsley Soft & Shiney Jet Set - £17.00 - Now the holey grail of dry hair solvers for me is the Philips Kingsley Elasticizer, so when I saw this kit, I knew I would love to receive this sort of kit. This contains:
-Philip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Shampoo 75ml
- Philip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Conditioner 75ml
- Philip Kingsley Elasticizer 75ml
This should total £27.00 so a great £10 saving.

You can pick these up with free delivery from Feel Unique, and currently they have an advent calender (bit like this!) with a free gift or offer every day - there have been some crackers already!

So, which one are you hoping for? Or have you picked something for your sister?
