Review - May Glossybox - Happy Birthday Superdrug!!

May Glossybox Review

May Glossybox Review

Having been a rubbish blogger in recent weeks, I thought it was about time that I got back on the proverbial blogging horse. I've felt really un-inspired by beauty recently, there hasn't been a lot that has made me want to blog, instead choosing to sort out the house and garden. However that all changed when I received this month’s Glossybox.

I know a lot of people have gone of Glossybox, but I think this one will make people think again. May's box is in collaboration with Superdrug, celebrating their 50th Birthday. The box is a great design, with a big 50 across the front; it feels like opening a present to yourself - which I guess it kinda is!

Inside you get the Glossy Magazine with the gorgeous Lucy Mecklenburgh on the front in Sixties makeup. I'm not a TOWIE fan, but she is gorgeous so well work a read. As well as the magazine, you get your products. This month I got 5 full size products! I had heard there were 3 but to get 5 was a mega bonus!
All of them are high-street favourites; some couldn’t have come at a better time now the weather is getting warmer.

In my box, I received:
- Scholl Velvet Smooth Night Mask for feet
- Collection Bronze Glow
- B. Sheer Conditioning Lipstick
- Schwarzkopf Crystal Shine Conditioner
- Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer
- Garnier Oil Beauty Lotion (Sample)
- Ghost Eclipse Fragrance (Sample)

My box is worth £33.95, well worth the money this month, plus full of products which I would normally ignore for other brands, so it will be nice to try them out.

You can get your box here.

What do you think of this month’s box? Xx

Review - January Glossybox

Hello!

Another month and another Glossybox. I think this is the first time I've managed to get a review up, even if its an insta-review or a first impressions. This month, Glossybox have had a bit of a make-over, with a new, longer, glossy finish on the box, new print inside and new ribbon, it doesn't look dramatically different but its a nice refresh.

So January's theme is Back to Basics, with lots of products to get you ready for the new year.

In my box, I received:

Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash - 50ml Sample (250ml £10.25)
Anatomicals Puffy the Eye Bag Slayer -  1 Sample (Full Sized - 3 treatments £6)
Vaseline Essential Moisture -50ml Sample (400ml £4.99)
Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream -2x 3g Sample (33g £13.50)
The  Vintage Cosmetic Company Tweezers - £8

One full sized product isn't too bad, tweezers always come in handy at some point.

I'm looking forward to the Anatomicals product to chill out at the weekend, lord knows my eye bags practically need their own passport at the moment! Other then that, the other bits are a bit meh and will be used as and when, I'm starting to question whether the boxes are worth it any more.

What do you think? Are you still receiving these boxes or have you moved? What products do you like the look of? xx

Review - September Glossybox '13

I don't normally review my Glossybox as I feel that there are just so many reviews of them every month, but this month I really wanted to just because the box looks Ah-May-Zing!

This months box is the London Edition, perfect to celebrate Fashion Week. The box is the gorgeous, covered with the Union Jack - could it be more British! GlossyBox have also updated their little magazine insert, gone is the folded paper thing and in its place is a little glossy magazine called GBMag, I like this a lot.
Inside the box this month, I received:

Eylure Pre-Glued Lashes - I'm terrible when it comes to applying lashes so these were a welcome surprise. I don't often wear lashes, only for really special occasions but I think I will save these for a staff night out.
Full Size: £5.06 per pair

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for lips - My friend swears by this for her lips, plus I've heard lots of good things so I'm pleased to have a little sample to try out, even if it is only a tiny sample.
Full Size: £11 for 15ml

Elizabeth Arden Untold Eau de Parfum - This smells amazing, a gorgeous floral scent and for one a perfume sample in a cute little bottle rather than the little tubes.
Full Size: £62.10 for 100ml

Tony & Guy Classic Shine & Gloss Serum - I haven't used a lot of the Tony & Guy hair range for a long time, other things just get in the way but this looks quite good, it smells awesome so thats a bonus. A little research leads me to believe that this helps control frizz and flyaways as well as adding shine so I'll give this a go and report back.
Full Size: £7.19 for 30ml

b a bombshell eyeliner in Onyx - A chunky black, sharpie like eyeliner, this is from a brand I've never heard of, but I thought it looked interesting so will give it a try. Its a very black liner and after swatching it on my hand, it hasn't moved!
Full Size: $14

Overall, a nice box, a bit odd as for a London themed box there is actually only one 'British' brand, but its always nice to find and try new products. If you want to sign up for a box then click here and head over, there's  still time to pick up the September box.

What do you think of the box this month? Better or worse then some of the other beauty boxes out there? xx
