#BigBlogmasproject2014 Day 6 - Cosy Winter Night Lush Stash

There is nothing I love more in Winter then having a good old soak in the bath, so I thought it was high time to show you what I plan on using up to get warm and cosy.

Back in October I made a fairly large Lush order to restock my stash, since then I've used up a lot, but this is what I have left. First up is Butter Bear. I bought two of these, the first went straight in the bath and gives the most creamy and moisturing bath I have had in a long time, no bubbles but leaves your skin all soft and buttery. Next is my Dashing Santa which I picked up on a whim more then anything and he smells amazing, a lovely citrus scent. Two more products that I picked up on smell alone are Northern Lights and The Christmas Hedgehog - have read a few reviews and can't wait to use them.

A regular in my stash this time of year is Cinders. This is my favourite and if they stop making this one year I might cry! I love the warm smell of christmas this gives off, and the way it fizzes its way around the bath!

Finnaly, two unknowns that I just fancied the look of  are the Snow Angel and the Luxury Lush Pud - what would Christmas be without a pudding and an angel or two - will report back when I have tried these ones out!

So these are what's left in my stash at the moment - I can't wait to get them used and then stock up again, perfect for cosy nights throughout winter!!!

What is in your Lush stash? xx

Advent Door 19 - Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

1 Day to go!! I'm sure every teacher everywhere is breathing a massive sigh of relief; we are so close to a well-deserved break! As a treat, I picked up some bits from Lush to help me relax, lord knows I need to!

A firm favourite every year is the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar, I love Snow Fairy, but I have a stash of other shower gels to use first, so this will have to fulfil my Snow Fairy Fix.

Candy Mountain is the Bubble Bar equivalent of Snow Fairy, all in a cute, twisted candy mountain. It smells amazing, plus it’s pink and sparkly!

I use 1/4 of this in my bath and get loads of bubbles, plus it turns the water pink! I got 4 baths out of this, if you pop it into the fridge it goes hard so it’s easier to cut up into smaller chunks! Each piece gave the same amount of bubbles so I wasn't bothered about using a smaller amount!

For £2.65, this is great at 66p per use; I have already stocked up a few more ready for once these are no longer available!

I can't wait to use the rest of my bits; hopefully I will be all nice and relaxed!

What’s your favourite Christmas Lush item? Xx

Project Bathroom 10 Pan

Does anyone else, especially as a blogger seem to start lots of bottles of products and then never get round to using them all up? I seem to end up with loads of half empty bottles, or bottles that are given as gifts that never get used. So, in a bid to clear out before Xmas I'm embarking on a project bathroom 10pan. For those who don't know what it is, I've picked 10 products which need clearing out and aim to get them used up.

All of the products I've picked are ones which are about 50% full, or are small sized and can be used easily. All of the products are either ones that I've bought myself or those that have been given to me as Xmas presents from my classes over the years (yes I'm a horder!)

The 10 products I've picked are;
- Dove Summer Glow Fair to Medium x 2
- Dove Summer Glow Medium to Dark
- Soap & Glory The Firminator
- Soap & Glory Return to Slender
- Virgin Vie Fantasia Body Shimmer x2
- La Roche Posey Effaclar Toner
-Umberto Giannini Blow Dry Straight Cream
- Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor

I'm hoping to have all of these used up by Xmas, any that get finished earlier will get replaced by other items in my stash, so keep a look out for any updates.

I would love it if you got involved with this as well, it doesn't have to be 10 items, any amounts of items to use up will do. Let me know if you get involved? What bits do you have hanging around? xx

Summer Ready - Dove Summer Glow

The sun may be teasing us at the moment, but the time has come for the Primark Wooly tights to go away and to gradually reduce the denier over the coming months. To do this without scaring the general public, I need to start slapping on the Fake Tan.

Here's the problem; I am awful at applying fake tan - think a patchy, overly orange extra from TOWIE then thats me - waves. So to be safe, I start off using body lotions to start building up some colour.

Dove make some great body lotions and this one is very nice. Very moisturing, this is a thick and creamy lotion that doesn't take too long to dry.

I've used this for a couple of weeks and it does build a nice golden colour, not too obvious, very natural looking.

However, there are two down sides, one may be my fault and the other is the product. Every time I use this, I end up with orange ankles, the product seems to take better here so I need to work more on my application skills! The second problem is the tell tale biscuit smell. This smells of biscuit once dry, especially when I get a tad warm - a child in my class even commented that he could smell digestives for some reason - I quickly ran away!

For £4.99,  its a good lotion. I do like using it, and will continue to until my holiday!

I need help - fake tanning tips please? Any other lotions I should try?

Treacle Moon - Warm Cinnamon Nights - Review

Ok, so spring has teased us this week, but the evenings are very much still winter, so I've used this as an excuse to have a bath to warm up.

Treacle Moon is a brand I've seen featured on other blogs so many times, yet never stopped to pick up in Tesco. However I saw this, smelt it and fell in love - I adore cinnamon.

Warm Cinnamon Nights is a bath and shower gel, which leaves loads of bubbles in the bath - what could be better! The cinnamon is lovely and warming, whilst not overpowering as there is a touch of orange in it.

This super huge bottle was a grand total of £2.99 - however online it is currently £1.99, and this 500ml will last for ages!

I think I need to check out some others from the range - any suggestions? xx

Advent Door 15 - Lush Sandy Santa Review

Morning lovelies, today is a happy day - its finally half term! This has been one very long term, but finally I can get home and celebrate with a warm bath - rock and roll I know!

One of my essentials in a bath at the moment is a good body scrub, and I think this could be possibly the best scrub I have found for a while, even rivalling Soap and Glory.

Sandy Santa is a Santa shaped sugar scrub with a citrus scent. The scrub pieces are quite large and rough, so this isn't something I would recommend if you have sensitive skin, however its great for getting off all of that pesky fake tan!

I love this, you only need a little bit to get a deep clean, however it is incredibly messy, and  a lot of its wasted, especially if it gets damp in the shower.

You can pick these up for £2.95 each and I think they make bath time more fun - what do you think? xx

Review - Lush Party Popper Bath Bomb

Afternoon lovelies,

We're well on our way to the party season, and it aint so party without a party popper or two! - What is it about thats rolls of coloured paper that makes us tie it in our hair like we're 8 again?!

Anywhoo, Lush have got into the party season with their very own Party Popper Bath Bomb.

'Pop in the bath and let's get this party started
This fruity, fizzy party piece is a movable feast of delights. Contains everything you need for a celebration in your own bathtub.
Drop a Party Popper cone in your bath and watch it spin into action, as it goes on a spree across your bath spreading colours, fragrance, popping candy and soap confetti.  Softening your bathwater, fragrancing your skin and washing you clean.'

I think Lush totally nail the description of this bath bomb! I filled my bath up and then dropped this is. It was so fun watching it whiz around the bath with a snap, crackle and pop as the popping candy sent the bomb whizzing about leaving a trail of blue and pink bubbles behind it.

Inside the bath bomb was a little surprise  with confetti pieces made from Honeydew melon, which melts onto the skin leaving it soft and smelling yummy.

The only downside to the bath bombs is that they don't leave any bubbles in the bath, but a good glug of bubble bath sorts this out, without killing the scent of the bath bomb.

I think for £2.95,I will be stocking up on these at my next payday! What do you think, a good party piece? What is it about the party popper streamers?!

xx
